👼🪦 Tech Gremlins Struck… But My Angel Talk Lives On!

Watch my AGS talk here: Iconic cemetery angels seen from Texas to Transylvania

Hi friends,

Well… my Association for Gravestone Studies (AGS) presentation was an utter disaster!!! 😩

Despite sending a recorded version of my talk, tech issues struck when my turn came to present online today. We tried switching to screen share, but my internet went down… Twice!

And just like that, my time slot was gone.

The AGS conference runs on a tight schedule, so I lost my chance to present this year. Talk about disappointing!

So I’ve decided to share the full recorded version of my 20-minute talk with you at the top of this post so you can still watch it! Let me know what you think.

🎙️ Talk Title:

Two Angels Seen Around the World: The Mona Lisa of Cemeteries & Rock of Ages

In this photo-packed presentation, I explore two iconic mourning figures I've encountered all over the world: from Texas, France, Italy, Romania, and even Indonesia. My talk delves into the surprising backstories behind these angelic women, how they gained popularity, and the deeper symbolism they carry.

If you enjoy cemetery symbolism, evocative statues, or stories about how imagery spreads and evolves over time, I think you’ll really enjoy this talk.
(The presentation video is viewable by everyone, so feel free to share!)

💬 Have you seen either of those angels?

Did you recognize either of the angels in my talk? Have you seen them in your own cemetery explorations, or something similar? Leave a comment or email me at Tui@TuiSnider.com to let me know.

Even if the tech gremlins grounded me, I’m so glad I can still share these winged wonders with you.
With gratitude and gravestones,
